Caloundra detectives have arrested a man following the armed robberies of two convenience stores on September 22.
Around 9.15am the man allegedly walked behind the counter of a store at Daguilar Highway, Wamuran before threatening the female attendant with a syringe.
The man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
Around 5.20pm the man allegedly entered a store at Albert Street, Shelly Beach before threatening a female staff member with a syringe and demanding she hand over cash from the till.
The attendant complied with his demands and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
No one was physically injured during these incidents.
A 27-year-old Woodford man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of failing to dispose of a syringe.
He remains in custody and is due to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow.
