Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL), the Regional Tourism Organisation for the region will officially launch their membership program tomorrow evening at a tourism networking function for over 200 local operators and industry.
Minister for Tourism, Manufacturing and Small Business, Jan Jarratt, commended the new membership program.
“The SCDL membership program is critical to bringing the industry together to sell this great destination and get visitors spending their dollars on the Sunshine Coast,” Ms Jarratt said.
“This program will give members the opportunity to participate in marketing campaigns, subsidised activities and access the latest research reports and industry development programs.”
SCDL CEO, Steve Cooper said, “There has been an absence of a Sunshine Coast wide tourism membership program for some years. The industry has requested a membership program and we are now delivering it.
“The industry has faced challenging conditions in the marketplace and for our inaugural year of membership, we are pleased to offer discounts for various membership levels to make the program accessible and affordable for all operators.
“This membership program will allow operators to directly advertise their business and leverage from SCDL’s promotional activity. If we unite as an industry, we can make a real difference for tourism on the Sunshine Coast,” said Mr Cooper.
The new tourism membership program is open to all of the industry and includes different levels of membership to suit all business types and sizes.
