Sunshine Coast detectives have charged four teenagers with unlawful wounding after a woman was assaulted at Beerwah last night.
It will be alleged that four people, three males and one female, entered an Old Gympie Road residence around 8.30pm and confronted a 17-year-old woman who was visiting the house. An altercation ensued during which time the 17-year-old sustained two stab wounds to her back before the group fled in a car.
The woman was transported to Nambour Base Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police attending a single vehicle crash on Pikes Road, Glasshouse Mountain a short time later located the four teens.
The Sunshine Coast teenagers, a 16-year-old girl and boy, and two 17-year-old men, have also been charged with enter dwelling with intent and commit an indictable offence whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.
The 17-year-olds are due to appear in the Maroocyhdore Magistrates Court this morning, and the 16-year-olds will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
It is believed all five were known to each other prior to the incident.
