Surfing dogs just one feature of Noosa Festival of Surfing

  • BIG WAVES, BIG HEARTS, Monday 11 March from 6pm. Join big wave legends Tom Carroll, Ross Clarke Jones and Mark Visser as they present their award-winning films, Storm Surfers and Nightrider in a night of high emotion.
  • TURNING POINT with Rusty Miller, Tuesday 12 March from 6pm. Join legendary surfer Rusty Miller and friends for a celebratory night of film, photo, talk and music. Special set from Peter Howe and Tim Gaze.
  • THE HEART & THE SEA, introduced by Tom Wegener, live music by Zac Gunthorpe, Thursday 14 March from 6pm. A mellow night on the beach with acoustic music and this year’s coolest longboard movie.
  • DEUS MEET THE SHAPERS, with a stellar cast of surfboard designers led by Simon Anderson and Bob McTavish, on the beach from 4pm, Friday 15 March, followed by killer music from The Otchkies and Pete Cullen’s Saltwater Cowboys.
  • PRESENTATION PARTY, from 4pm, Saturday 16 March with live music by Zac Gunthorpe, Rev Sunday and the Tim Gaze Trio. Festival after-party with Tim Gaze Trio at Café Le Monde from 9pm.

The 22nd annual Festival of Surfing runs 7am to 5pm in the water, at either First Point Noosa or at secondary site Noosa West Beach. All entertainment and beach expo are at First Point at the PJ Burns Festival Village, open every day throughout the event, with licensed XXXX Summer Beach Bar open to the public through the sunset hours. The festival is free and family friendly.
