Aussie World, Noosa Dreamboats and Bli Bli House Luxury Bed and Breakfast have done the Sunshine Coast tourism industry proud by taking out top awards in the, attractions, experiences and accommodation categories at this year’s Sunshine Coast Business Awards.
Talented chef, Cameron Matthews from the Long Apron Restaurant at Spicers Clovelly Estate Montville was also honoured with the Outstanding Employee of the Year award.
Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) is a silver sponsor of the event and the organisation’s Chairman Barrie Adams presented the tourism winners with their awards at the event last night.
“These are highly deserving winners who have made significant contributions to the local tourism industry. We’re extremely proud of their achievements and believe the awards are a great way to inspire other businesses to reach for the stars,” said Mr Adams.
“The tourism industry has experienced some tough times in recent years but these awards go to show that determination and innovation can generate some extraordinary results,” he said.

Now in its 18th year, the Sunshine Coast Business Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the efforts and achievements of the diverse and dedicated Sunshine Coast business community – and are the most highly regarded industry awards in the region.
This year more than 600 guests attended the gala awards ceremony at the Innovation Centre at University of the Sunshine Coast, including some of the region’s top business, community and government leaders.
Bli Bli House Luxury Bed & Breakfast: Bli Bli House Luxury Bed & Breakfast is one of the Sunshine Coasts newest Bed and Breakfast establishments. Phil and Merryl Greenbury have spent a number of years renovating this unique historic property which was once the focal part of a well known pioneer village in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. Aussie World: The Aussie World theme park is located alongside the iconic Ettamogah Pub and has recently completed a two million dollar plus expansion project. There are over 30 thrilling rides and games, including the new water ride ‘Plunge’, thrill ride ‘Redback’ and the fun ‘Giant Slide’.
Noosa Dreamboats: Noosa Dreamboats Classic Boat Cruises is a boutique tour operator based in Noosa Heads. On private guided tours of the Noosa River and Lakes, guests have the opportunity to experience the glamour, excitement and style of a bygone era and feel like movie stars on board the gorgeous 1940‘s style mahogany speed boat, ‘Noosa Dream’.
