A new Sunshine Coast campaign inviting visitors to ‘Stretch out their Summer’ will be launched today to encourage visitors to extend their summer with a stay on the Sunshine Coast between mid-February and the end of March.
An initiative of Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL), the $100,000 campaign will target the South East Queensland drive market via a strong online presence as well as through radio, press and database marketing.
Steve Cooper, CEO of SCDL says, “We have partnered with 58 local operators in this exciting new campaign designed to increase exposure and boost bookings during the traditionally soft periods of late February and March and to ensure the Sunshine Coast region is top of mind for visitors for the upcoming Easter period.
“We warmly invite our Brisbane and Toowoomba neighbours and people located within a three hour drive radius to take a short Sunshine Coast break and ‘Stretch out their Summer’. The exciting thing about the campaign is the online marketing component increasing exposure and reach of our region.
“The campaign will direct visitors to our dedicated campaign website: www.stretchoutsunshinecoast.com.au featuring a range of fantastic ‘Stretch out your Summer’ deals where you can stretch out your weekend and make your budget stretch further,” added Steve.
In conjunction with the great deals there will also be a ‘Stretch out your Summer’ competition where you can win one of five luxury long weekends. The prizes valued at $10,000 have been generously donated by 18 industry operators.
