Sunshine Coast Council, in conjunction with Social Inclusion Week celebrations, presents the Right Back @ U – unearthed exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery from 21 November 2012 to 13 January 2013.
Right Back @ U – unearthed, an initiative of council’s Caloundra Regional Gallery, aims to unearth and celebrate the hidden talents of the region’s most active and emerging artists living with disabilities.
The exhibition is an important element of the Social Inclusion Week celebrations and promotes creative connections within the Sunshine Coast community. The exhibition recognises the important contribution that people with a disability make to Australia’s artistic and cultural activities.
Commonwealth Centenary of Federation Medal for Distinguished Service to the Arts, Ross Barber will be guest speaker at the official opening of Right Back @ U – unearthed on Saturday 1 December at 2pm.

What’s your Story?
10:30am to 12:30pm
Join us in storytelling through painting, exploring the genre of Naïve Art. Inspired by the colourful works of John Murray, participants are invited to share their stories through painting.
Traditional Story Telling by Dwayne Eggmolesse
2.30pm to 3.30pm
Join Dwayne Eggmolesse for an engaging session of traditional dreaming stories of the Gubbi Gubbi people from the Glass House Mountains and Bauple region. Dwayne is a Teacher in Indigenous Primary Health at Sunshine Coast TAFE.
