Caloundra’s long love affair with Cinema is set to continue on November 24 when the Strand Cinema opens for business.

Under new ownership, with new screens, sound systems and projectors, patrons will be treated to a fresh theatrical experience in the familiar surrounds of 11 Bulcock Street where cinema has reigned since the 1930’s.

New owner, Luke Warburton, who also operates the cinema on Bribie Island, is looking forward to offering both locals and tourists a great entertainment option right in the heart of the Caloundra CBD.

“It’s going to be an exciting holiday season with Hollywood coming back online with some huge titles set to be released. We can’t wait”

The Strand Cinema upgrade will continue into the future as the entire building is set to get a new look.

“Next year seats and carpets will be replaced with more upgrades and refurbishment works to be announced in the coming months”.

The best value movie tickets on the coast will remain with prices just $10 each, making the new Strand Cinema as family friendly as its predecessor and maintaining the tradition of the cinema-going-experience in this part of the region.
