Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey and Queensland Police Assistant Commissioner Ben Marcus have announced the start of fines from transportable mobile phone and seatbelt cameras commencing November 1 across Queensland following a successful trial since July.
Over 20,000 people were detected in the trial for driving distracted and not wearing seatbelts.
Fines in excess of $1,000 will be imposed for driving distracted and over $400 for not wearing seatbelts.
