PALMER Coolum Resort General Manager, Simon Stodart, says the Fairfax Festival Weekend at the end of June will have something for everyone and promises to be a great family entertainment weekend.
All residents living in Clive Palmer’s federal electorate of Fairfax are invited to come along to Palmer Coolum Resort on the weekend of Friday 27th (evening), Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June to enjoy free entertainment, free entry to the Palmersaurus dinosaur park and free entry to the Palmer Motorama vintage car museum.
Special brochures acting as an entry pass to the Festival Weekend and featuring the full program, are currently being delivered to all households in the Fairfax electorate.
“As well as the free entry to Palmersaurus and Motorama, we will have lots of great entertainment, live music and one of our local radio stations will be hosting a live outside broadcast on the Saturday. There will be plenty to keep both young and older members of the community entertained all weekend,” Mr Stodart said.
“It’s a great gesture by Mr Palmer to open the resort to his Fairfax constituents. We are all looking forward to engaging with members of the local community and giving them a great weekend of family fun.
“It’s not every day that free entertainment of this calibre and scale is offered to the community and I’m sure it will prove to be very popular, especially at such a fantastic time of year when the weather is just perfect.”
As well as the resort’s attractions, free live music will be provided by top Elvis tribute act Dean Vegas on the evening of Friday 27th June and the afternoon of Sunday 29th June. McGuinness & Co, the Sunshine Coast’s leading Irish folk band, will play lunchtime and evening sets on both Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June.
All of Palmer Coolum Resort’s food outlets, such as Ned Kelly’s, Pizza Pasta, The Smiling Duck and Roo Bar, will be fully operational as normal.
