Sunshine Coast Airport today announces the appointment of Kate McCreery-Carr as its new General Manager Operations and Assets.
Ms McCreery-Carr joins Sunshine Coast Airport with a wealth of aviation experience gained from more than 30 years in the industry, including 14 years at Cairns Airport and earlier roles with Air Niugini and Australian Airlines.
Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Andrew Brodie welcomed the new appointment following an extensive search and extremely competitive field.
“Sunshine Coast Airport is at an exciting time with passenger numbers recovering, a new international runway and the delivery of our Master Plan 2040 a key focus for us – it’s no surprise we had such a high calibre of candidates wanting to join our team,” Mr Brodie said.
“Kate is a highly experienced executive in both commercial and operational areas and her recent role as Chief Operating Officer for Cairns Airport saw her lead all airside, land-side and terminal operations, including maintenance and significant capital programs.
“Kate will be a great fit for our team and her commitment to ensuring airport operations meet the current and future needs of stakeholders and customers will help guide Sunshine Coast Airport as we undertake a number of major projects including the terminal redevelopment.”
Ms McCreery-Carr joins the team in July 2021, following Mr Frank Mondello’s recent appointment as General Manager Coffs Harbour Airport, which is a member of Agilis Airports.
