The Sunshine Coast Daily is alleging that one of their reporters had their phone thrown into the scrub while videoing at a media conference today on the site of the proposed Kawana Hospital called by by Mr Slipper to announce proposed training facilities being sought for the Coast.
In response Peter Slipper has issued the following media release:
“At today’s media conference, I was there to announce the exciting opportunity for the Sunshine Coast with Sunshine Coast TAFE selected to submit an application for the Educational Investment Fund for a world-class training and vocational education centre.
“I answered questions from the media for thirty minutes and as I had another appointment, my media adviser had to end the interview. As you will see from the video attached, I then simply walked away.
I did not see the alleged incident and would not condone it.”
