RACQ CareFlight Rescue has airlifted a man in his 40s following a motorcycle crash on the David Low Way in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
The Brisbane man was travelling along David Low Way in Sunshine Beach just after midnight when he lost control of the motorcycle while travelling through a roundabout. He veered off the road and came to rest around six metres down the embankment surrounded by the roundabout.
A resident in the area heard the crash and made a call for help.
RACQ CareFlight’s on duty doctor and intensive care paramedic responded to the incident by road and treated the man at the scene for multi-trauma injuries. He was transported to the Sunshine Coast Airport to be airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
