On 1st September 2011, the Maleny Presbyterian Church celebrated a new milestone in its 104 year history by becoming a Separate Charge for the first time since 1976.
The church will no longer be a part of the Caloundra Charge or the Nambour Charge. The ministers of those two Charges have looked after the ministry in the church since 1977. At the moment Rev John Abbas will be the Interim Moderator until the appointed Minister arrives.
About forty people enjoyed the celebratory Morning Tea after the service on 4th September.
