Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd (SCDL) today launched a new nature trail as part of their Experiences Campaign with a song written and performed for the video by Sunshine Coast singer/songwriter, Kelsie Rimmer.
The nature trail is the first in a series to be launched showcasing the array of exciting experiences visitors can enjoy on the Sunshine Coast. It will be promoted via YouTube, a microsite and digital media channels.
SCDL CEO Steve Cooper said, “The Sunshine Coast is rich in natural experiences, so it is no surprise that we are branded the naturally refreshing Sunshine Coast.
“The nature trail forms part of our year-round campaign that aims to attract visitors to the region with a reason to visit and increase their length of stay. People can choose to do one experience on the trail or all and the trail is linked online to accommodation and activity deals.”
The Sunshine Coast nature trail includes experiences at Noosa National Park, Kondalilla Falls, HMAS Brisbane, Mount Coolum, Pumicestone Passage, Caloundra Coastal Path, Glass House Mountains and Buderim Forest Park.
“It was a lot of fun being involved in writing a song for Sunshine Coast Destination’s nature trail video,” said Kelsie. “I also got to be involved in the filming of the nature trail video from hiking to the top of Mt Coolum to performing on a boat floating over the ex HMAS Brisbane. My song called, Nowhere I’d Rather Be is about the beauty of nature that surrounds us from beach to rainforest, right here on the Sunshine Coast. This is a really lovely way to share the message and encourage visitors to our special part of the world.”
Steve Cooper and Kelsie Rimmer talk about the video, the song and the opportunities in digital.
