Rising rugby league stars on the Sunshine Coast have had their futures assured today with the announcement that national franchise powerhouse, Jetts 24 Hour Fitness, will lend its name to the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles for the next two years.
The naming rights sponsorship agreement will underpin the future of the 2009 QCup premiers, meaning the pathway from local league to the NRL is very much intact for the regions rising stars.
“I can’t emphasise enough how important this is for our club,” Sea Eagles CEO Justin Veivers said.
“It gives us long term financial support, but I think more importantly it gives us great credibility in the market place.
“Jetts is an absolute success story and Managing Director and founder Brendon Levenson has great enthusiasm for what we are trying to achieve at the club. So it’s about much more than money, it’s about helping us create something for the future.”
The Jetts Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles, provide elite level football for under 20’s to open age and deploy high level coaching and support to players as young as 13.
“This is a great day for the club. Brendon and his team have created one of Australia’s fastest growing businesses and that sort of drive will be invaluable for the Sea Eagles.” commented Sea Eagles Chairman Peter Boyce.
Jetts started from very humble beginnings and has now reached a staggering 168 franchises through Australia and New Zealand and was only last month named, the BRW’s second fastest growing company in Australia.
“I think it’s a great credit to our club and our competition. To have a national brand on our jersey says a lot about our product in general.” Veivers said.
