Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Maroochydore on Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 6pm, a 19 year old man was walking along Maroochydore Road when he was approached by another man
After a brief physical altercation, the man attempted to rob the 19-year-old and appeared to walk off. He returned a short time later and assaulted the 19-year-old again.
The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.
The offender is described as being Caucasian in appearance, of a slim build and around 176cm tall with light brown hair.
Police would like to speak with the male driver of a white Toyota Hilux who it is believed may have stopped and witnessed the incident.
