Sunshine Coast Council presents a fun-filled and affordable holiday program to entertain the whole family at Lake Kawana Community Centre and Nambour Civic Centre these July school holidays.
Nambour Civic Centre will kick off the fun by screening the classic Disney hit The Lion King from June 30 to July 8 in the Nambour Arthouse Cinema with tickets just $9 and each child will receive free popcorn. Revisit an old favourite and see this Disney Classic once again on the big screen.
Click your heels together and get ready to follow a yellow brick road full of fun, adventure and wacky characters when the Wizard of Oz show hits the Nambour Civic Centre stage on Tuesday, July 8. Kids can rap with the Tinman, roar like a Lion, wake up sleepy Shakey the Scarecrow and dance with Dorothy in this interactive, new adaptation of America’s best loved fairy tale.
Or if your child is a musician, join DeepBlue for their Sunshine Coast Winter Workshops and for a chance to perform in the DeepBlue stage show Who Are You. From Thursday, July 10 to Saturday, July 12 DeepBlue will work with young local musicians during the school holidays, playing a huge array of instruments.
A day of fun returns to Lake Kawana Community centre with the return of Laughin’ at the Lake on Tuesday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 8 themed with pirates, fairies, mermaids and more. For just $10 an hour, children receive unlimited jumps on themed jumping castles and other fantastic games and activities.
