Easter Monday junior golf class at Palmer Coolum Resort

LOCAL youngsters can improve their golf technique this Easter Monday (1 April) thanks to a junior golf class at Palmer Coolum Resort, hosted by resident golf professional Patrick Gibson.
The 90-minute class costs just $39.00 and tees off at 8.00am, starting with a clinic on the driving range before heading to the course for a mini three-hole competition on holes 10, 11 and 18.
The class is open to junior players between the ages of 8 – 16 years and all equipment is provided by Palmer Coolum Resort. Students only need bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle.
Patrick, who has been coaching around the world for the last eight years, will coach the students on a range of different strokes designed to both improve their technique and enjoyment of the game.
Prior to his appointment at Palmer Coolum Resort, Patrick’s most recent role was as the Head Coach of the CGA (Chinese Golf Association) Nanshan Golf School, where he mentored amateur golfers who aspired to play in the 2016 Olympic Games or the professional circuit.
Patrick is fully trained in the latest technologies used at the elite level of coaching such as TPI 3D AMM, Flight Scope, Sam Putt Lab/Balance Lab, Dartfish Video Software, V1 Pro Software, GASP Lab and Taylor Made Club Fitting. In 2007 he received the NSW PGA award for ‘Excellence in Coaching’ and developed the Northern Sydney Golf Academy that tailored golf coaching to players of all levels.
