Easter break is just around the corner and Sunshine Coast Council is offering an exciting program of activities to nourish young bodies and minds at the Cooroy Library from 2 to 14 April 2012.
Cooroy Library is planning a feast of Easter activities to entertain the family covering everything from craft to slow-motion animation for children of all ages.
Kids can make their very own Just Ducky Tennis Ball Chick – which is a fluffy tennis ball duckling with a winning waddle – or create their very own Easter baskets and cards to give to family and friends.
Back by demand are the ever popular Ani-Movie workshop sessions where kids can create their own travel themed stop-motion movies using lego, plasticine, figurines and their imagination.
Library staff will edit the final product and provide a DVD copy for children to collect and share with their friends and family. Stay tuned to Cooroy Library events as selected Ani-Movies may even be screened at the library’s Rooftop Cinema in May.
For those kids who enjoy competition, they can dare their friends to a challenge and test their skills in the Wii Tournament, or join the Pokémon Club and play the Wii, DS Pokémon games and swap Pokémon cards.
Families are invited to attend the popular Flicks in the Sticks which will present the classic movie Titanic on the library rooftop from 6.30pm on Friday 13 April to commemorate the centenary of one of the most infamous stories in history.
Sunshine Coast Libraries will be closed from Good Friday 6 April to Easter Monday 9 April and returning to normal hours on Tuesday 10 April.
