Arts Connect is a Blackall Range based arts organisation. They seek to implement new opportunities for members and hold a monthly art market ‘Artists on the Green’, which features work from local artists & craftspersons and is held the 3rd Sunday each month from 9.30-3.00 on the Montville Village Green.
Other initiatives are ‘Sculpture on the Edge’, collaborating with Open Gardens and in August the successful Creative Spaces-Open Studio program. For more details see www.artsconnectinc.com.au.
Supported by Sunshine Coast Regional Council, ‘Artists on the Green’ is where members can set up a stall to sell good quality artworks, with no middle men and no competitive marketing they can present their work in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Few markets in Australia are genuine artist markets. It is this uniqueness that brought the Better Homes and Gardens team to Montville in October. With a full day filming on the Green, a range of talented members were presented in their Nov 11th Eye on Oz showcase. Also on the show, Kirsten Cash demonstrated her wonderfully creative lanterns in her Witta studio. Congratulation Arts Connect Inc, for the wonderful service you are providing to the general public.
