Council's Annual Report released

  • Beautification of communities through improvement works such as Mooloolaba Town Park and Bulcock Beach Esplanade
  • Providing the community with recreational and gathering places – Noosa Aquatic Centre and the North Shore Community Centre
  • Protecting and enhancing the environment with the purchase of core habitat and the construction of the Botanic Gardens, Arts and Ecology Centre
  • Sustainable Transport – Noosa Transit Centre, free buses during the Christmas holiday period
  • Delivering a number of community events to be enjoyed every year such as the Caloundra Music Festival and the Cooroy Fusion Festival
  • Upgrade and replacement of major bridges including Tooway and Dusty Rhodes Bridges as well the replacement of a number of rural bridges

Council also delivered more than 20 major strategies and plans during 2010/11, covering a wide range of priorities from economic and environmental, to social and governance.
