Cooroy – culture capital of the Coast

2 October, 2011
Author: Charles Hodgson

French pastries and literary conversation go hand in hand in Cooroy and you are invited to join in the next session on Wednesday 26 October.
Sunshine Coast Council’s Cooroy library has organised for renowned author Sue Trethowan-Jones to present in Cooroy’s very own French patisserie, the Maison de Provence.
Sue Trethowan-Jones will share stories from her book Gems of a Generation while guests enjoy French fare and the Parisian atmosphere of Maison de Provence.
Sue Trethowan-Jones will provide an interesting snapshot of the baby boomer era, illuminated through the fifteen heart-warming and candid stories of unique women in her book.
Gems of a Generation is about lives of high flying fame, glittering careers, fortunes made and lost, love, marriage, infidelity and divorce. There are poignant struggles of single mothers, child abuse, adoption and rejection, a rubella baby and an abduction that make up the compelling book.
Join the afternoon of inspiring stories and high tea for $20 from 2.30pm to 4pm. Bookings including payment can be made at any Sunshine Coast library or pay online in the eShop.
The last author talk at the Maison de Provence was sold out so people are encouraged to book early.
