Community feedback to shape future of Peregian Beach Park

  • the public amenities including the toilets, showers and possibly introducing a baby change area;
  • increasing the number of tables and seating;
  • increasing shade areas;
  • improving drainage in the park;
  • increasing the number of shelter areas; and
  • consideration of park lighting to enable night time park use.

Cr Green said that all feedback would now be assessed and used to develop a Landscape Concept Plan which would provide a framework for the detailed design, construction and refurbishment of the park over the next five year period (2013-2018), subject to funding.
“With thanks to everyone who participated in the survey and consultation, this much loved and well used community asset is set to receive some major improvements in the future based on community priorities,” he said.
“This will further enhance its role as a place of active and passive recreation, a social hub for Peregian residents and a venue for the wide range of community events that take place within the park.”
