A national nursing agency, with their head office located on the Sunshine Coast, is on the front foot in their quest to ensure nurses are receiving the highest possible level of training and education in the industry.
RNS Nursing, an industry-leading recruitment company with its origins in Noosa, recently held a hugely successful workshop to help their nurses continue to train to the highest recognised standards, ensuring the quality of nursing provided by their staff.
The one-day seminar, which was held on the Sunshine Coast, was overwhelmingly successful and attracted over 40 of the Private Nursing Service team from all over Queensland, including Rockhampton, Bundaberg and the Sunshine Coast.
RNS’ Private Nursing Service staff provide a critical service to the nursing industry, and include those who assist with a wide range of medical needs, including assisting new mums and babies in the home, helping elders with their shopping, medications or taking them to medical appointments, and temporary workers who step in when full time carers are taking some time off.
Amy Cadd, a Clinical Nurse Consultant with RNS, was thrilled so many took time out from their busy schedules and travelled some distance to take part in the seminar.
“Nurses are exceptionally busy people, and to see so many take time out to attend this highly valuable workshop was incredible,” said Ms Cadd.
“We had nurses from as far as Rockhampton and Bundaberg travel to the workshop, which reaffirms to us that our nurses are extremely committed to continued training to ensure that their skills are at the highest standards, and are certificate awarded and recognised. It also reflects to me their passion and dedication for what they do.”

Adding even more weight to the Seminar was its workshop on Professional Boundaries with accreditation and endorsement from the Royal College of Nursing.
“The workshop was accredited and endorsed by the Royal College of Nursing Australia, according to approved criteria. Attendance attracts 2 RCNA Continuing Nurse Education points as part of the RCNA’s Life Long Learning Program,” said a spokeswoman from the RCNA.
RNS Nursing was established in 2001 to assist Sunshine Coast hospitals and aged care facilities fill last minute nursing shifts. The company has grown to become an industry specialist in nurse recruitment with a client base of health care providers that extends across Australia, and now has offices in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Caboolture.
