Caloundra Music Festival, October 3-6: the first acts

18 June, 2014

The family-friendly Caloundra Music Festival by the beach announces its first round of artists today; the first of a number of announcements to be made over the coming weeks.
CMF presents a program of broad appeal featuring top Australian acts, exciting emerging artists and quality internationals.
John Butler Trio is clearly a crowd favourite and we are excited to have them back.
Tina Arena has been one of Australia’s most successful artists. In her adopted home of France she has sold more than four million records and received that country’s highest cultural honour – a Knighthood of the Order of National Merit – a first for any Australian artist.
Following on the success of last year’s “Good Times” band, this year we are presenting industry stalwarts Richard Clapton, Joe Camilleri, Russel Morris and Leo Sayer, coming together for an all-star performance to close out the festival on Monday October 6.
Younger patrons will appreciate Ballpark Music, The Beautiful Girls and Jungle Giants.
Lovers of jazz and blues will love Rick Estrin and the Nightcats and Tuba Skinny, continuing CMF’s association with New Orleans.
Local emerging artists featured this year will include Ayler, Castlecomer and Alex Crook.
More acts will be announced in coming weeks.
