Local employment law firm, Aitken Legal is holding a series of Business Seminars at Surf Clubs on the Sunshine Coast with the full fee to attend the seminar being donated to the Surf Life Saving Club associated with the Surf Club where the seminar is held.
Managing Partner, Lisa Aitken says
‘We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and what better way than through the local surf clubs who keep the community safe on our beaches every day.’
‘Each seminar in the Business Seminar Series will aim at assisting local employers and business owners to avoid being caught out with some of the most common issues that arise when running a business. Speakers will cover topical issues, providing guidance on how to handle problems that regularly occur and delivering practical tips to avoid the pitfalls.’
The first seminar in the series will focus on the seven most common mistakes that Aitken Legal considers employers make. It will cover the mistakes, how to solve the problems they create or minimise the risks generated from them, as well as how to avoid making these mistakes in the future.
The two hour seminar will also include guest speaker Bruce Sargent from CSG Law who will present on seven ways to prosper from your business. The presentation will discuss measuring profitability, self-managed super funds, buying or leasing your premises, trips and traps of selling your business, succession planning and estate planning.
The fee to attend is $50 (including GST) and is being held at the Maroochy Surf Club on Thursday 15 May at 7.30am. For more information contact Aitken Legal on 5413 4000 or visit www.aitkenlegal.com.au.
