Armed robbery Shelly Beach

Police are searching for a man following the armed robbery of a convenience store at Shelly Beach this afternoon.
Around 5.20pm a man entered the Albert Street store before threatening a female staff member with a syringe and demanding she hand over cash from the till.
The attendant complied with his demands and the man fled the scene with a sum of cash.
The man is described as being in his mid 20s, about 178cm tall with a solid build and a tanned complexion.
He was wearing sunglasses and used a black jumper to cover his face.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
