TENNIS lovers who want to enjoy their favourite game, make new friends and improve their skills in a light-hearted setting, will be thrilled by Palmer Coolum Resort’s new social tennis Sunday afternoons.
Held at the resort’s impressive Tennis Centre each Sunday between 3.30pm and 5.30pm, visitors and guests can roll up for up to two hours of tennis for just $7.50 per person, which includes court hire and tennis balls.
There is no need to book, making ‘Social Sundays’ ideal for casual racqueteers who only want to play when they feel like it, or those who just want to stretch their legs with some healthy exercise.
Players of all standards, fitness and skill levels will be catered for on the Tennis Centre’s seven superb courts and Palmer Coolum Resort’s Director of Tennis, Ivan Rusev, says the Social Sundays will offer the flexibility many tennis enthusiasts are looking for.
“Social tennis is great for anyone who just fancies a game for a couple of hours,” he said.
“They can come along with friends and family, or, if none of their friends play they can come alone and we will incorporate them into a singles or doubles game so everyone gets to play.
“There are no long-term commitments, no joining fees and no competitive pressure! It’s all about a couple of hours of great fun, good exercise and making new friends through tennis.”
After working up an appetite players will be welcomed into any of Palmer Coolum Resort’s restaurants and bars where they can replenish with a cold drink or a bite to eat.
